Our stay in Room 604, featuring the breathtaking view, was simply exceptional. The hospitality and overall service provided by the staff were truly amazing and deeply appreciated. Really appreciate the service offered by Anila Sunil, Anila and Saranya and every team member contributed to a flawless experience. Dining was a definite highlight. The dinner buffet & live counter offered impressive variety and quality. Meanwhile, the complimentary breakfast ensured a perfect start to each day. We also loved the enjoyable evening tea and snacks, a delightful touch. The range of outdoor activities available kept us thoroughly engaged. Accommodation, amenities, and food—everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended for a luxurious and peaceful stay !!

Nestled up a driveway, set back from the main road, Greenwoods is a bit of an oasis in Kumily and a wonderful place to stay if you're planning a trip into Periyar.
From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the quality of the food was fantastic.
The pool is small, but clean and perfect for a cool down dip.
The grounds are peaceful, and a good place to spot a variety of birds, monkeys, and mongoose.
The rooms were clean and well equipped, and the showers more than powerful enough for a good hair wash (With some rather nice freebie products too!)
The hotel is dry (No beer/alcohol) but you can hop into a tuk tuk and grab some beers at the Government shack, about 10 minutes away, and enjoy them on your balcony/patio.

I was planning for a vacation with my family including 2 small kids, I recollected my memories of my visit to Greenwoods before and it was very much overwhelming! I called them and they agreed to my all requirements. The most exciting thing was the hospitality, especially from Mr. Basheer and Vijesh. They treat you with all their mind, will take care of all your needs. I was so happy to hear that I got an up-gradation to the Presidential Suite - the largest suite in the resort, it was mindblowing. My kid loved to run all through the place with the private pool. Really amazing service. I am so thrilled and more than happy to recommend this to anyone I know.

We visited this resort on last monday. Firstly we were so surprised to see this hotel in a busy town because we were expecting the location in a calm and quiet place. When we were inside the resort we felt like we were out of all busy life and it sounds interesting for us. We were given a cottage with a private pool and it was such an amazing experience. Morning we spent almost one hour walking through the cottage and the ambience was excellent. They have all the ingredients to fulfill the hearts of visitors like treehouse, good food, a small farm, swimming pool(apart from private pool)etc. The service was excellent and I would recommend my friends and relatives to have a visit. Our stay was short and would definitely visit the resort and stay there for doing some adventurous trips

We visited the Greenwoods in the last week of August. The weather here was perfect. The overall experience of the greenwoods stay was awesome.......right from the rooms to the service offered including the quality of the buffet food. We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed the breakfast and buffet dinner very much. We were entertained by our chef Shiva very well. He made sure that the food is ok and also provided us with some on demand food items. For lunch we opted to do it outside. The location of this place is perfect.......located in the middle of the shopping street. You just come outside the property and the entire shopping lane welcomes you to explore and shop some good stuff including the special Kerala outfits, chocolates and spices. The overall experience was excellent.

I had an amazing stay at this resort! The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly kind and professional without exception. The restaurant manager, Mani, was attentive to every detail and made sure our dining experience was perfect. I also want to thank Abdull, who was exceptionally polite, helpful, and truly outstanding in his service.
The cleanliness throughout the resort was excellent. The food was clean, fresh, and delicious, offering great variety. The activities were wonderful for both children and adults, making it an ideal place for families.
And the resort is in the middle of the market, so the location is excellent, which makes you near the market
I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the area — it truly offers a memorable and enjoyable experience.

A great place in Thekkady! I recomend this place to everybody! Great activities in the hotel! The tea time, the garden, the property walk... all very interesting and tasty! The highlight was the cooking demo! The cooking chef Pankaj Singh did a great job! Will definitiv try to cook as well back home!
Our private villa with the heated pool was perfect! Very spacious sleeping and living area - even for five persons! Would not want to miss the heated pool in the garden with all the natures sound! It gave us such a relaxing time!
The staff is overall very friendly and always asking if all is good. We definitly recommend the Greenwoods Resort! We would defitnitly book here (the private villa withe the heated pool) again! Thank you for these great days!

This place is so serene and all the cottages are really beautiful and you can book based on your budget. Even the cheapest Kanana is amazing, I must say. This is "the resort" for couples or family or even a team who is looking for a peaceful getaway from a busy and polluted city-life. I still can't get over the lush green ambience. There were a few issues but when brought to Manager's attention, he made sure he fixed everything at once and provided us a better stay and peaceful experience overall. The head chef Benny was also very accommodative and provided food based on our request.
I don't think anybody would even want to explore outside of this resort because this resort as such is an apt place to chill and relax unless you want to do some activities.

Greenwoods Thekkady is a true gem, offering a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and exceptional hospitality. The resort’s location is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery with an abundance of trees that attract a variety of birds. During our stay, we spotted hornbills, woodpeckers, and drongos right on the property.
The proximity to the beautiful Periyar National Park, just 500 meters away, adds even more appeal.
The staff deserves a special mention for their warm and courteous service, always going above and beyond to make us feel at home. The food was another highlight—simply awesome, with a wide range of flavors and dishes.

Greenwoods Resort is one of the best resorts I ever experienced. The rooms are very clean and luxurious, big comfy beds, great bathrooms and everything is connected to nature, so you still feel good enjoying this luxury. The staff is always helpful and friendly and talks to all of the guests in a way that makes you feel like you're home. There is a big buffet with everything you might desire and you can also enjoy your food besides the pool.
You have a lot to do in the surrounding areas of Kumily, for example in the Periyar Reserve. Greenwood itself has many interesting activity offers, which most of the time, are connected to nature. You can see a lot of interesting wildlife and if you're lucky you can even spot elefants. I highly recommend this great place.

We stayed at the Greenwoods Resort in Thekkady and would highly recommend it. The staff was friendly and consistently helpful. There were many complementary activities available including an obstacle ropes course with zip lining, cooking demonstrations and classical dances. We enjoyed the cooking demonstration with Punkaj and Sooraj especially. Mani in the restaurant was always friendly and made sure our large group had a place to sit.
We also enjoyed playing badminton in the courtyard. The view from our view was incredible and a highlight of the trip. This location is also close to the Periyar tiger reserve. We did the boat ride and saw many animals. We really appreciated the staff. They always went out of their way to make us and the kids feel welcome.

And to be precise greenwoods offers an kid friendly environment! We travelled with a 1 year old baby and it was never troublesome for us, thanks to the staffs! Managed us with utmost care!and they sure we reached home safe!

I visited Greenwoods with my family today. This was by far one of the best stays I have enjoyed in Kerala. Service was top class. From the moment we checked in and till check out, they catered to our every need including happily accommodating the regular special needs request for one of my parents. Special shout out goes to Sruthi, Vishnu and many other staff whom I cant remember the name but did really put in the effort to make our stay comfortable and made us feel at home.
The place is settled in a silent and lush forest environment that you forget that its still situated in a town area. I booked this place after seeing so many positive reviews in google, and was happily surprised to see that all of them were true. Thank you for the amazing experience.

Greenwoods is one the best resorts in India. We have travelled to many places both domestic and international destinations; but have rarely found such a unique combination of nature, beauty and the most modern facilities, all under one roof ! Greenwoods offers all such facilities which we as tourists would want to make our holiday as a memorable one ..ranging from ayurvedic garden to multi cuisine restaurant, Greenwoods has everything one could dream to experience while on holiday ..
It also has the best of staff to make our stay even better .. Aswati being our main host at the resort, made our trip to Kerala as one of the best ones so far!! Guiding and entertaining us each day which we spent at the resort, she played the perfect host :) looking forward to more such stays at Greenwoods !!

This hotel was a beautiful, comfortable retreat for our group visiting Thekkady. We came with a group of 11 from US including very small kids. They went out of their way to make sure our kids had food since they are picky eaters and lots of fun entertainment with programs through the evening. They made sure we felt comfortable and at ease the entire stay. Special thank you to Sooraj and Remo for ropes courses and shows for the kids to have lots of fun. Mani, Anila and Dipa made sure our dining was perfect for a variety of picky eaters. The manager Viju checked on us frequently and even arranged laundry service for us. The chef experience with Chef Punkaj was so much fun and the dance class with the classical dancers was interactive and educational. We highly recommend this for a family especially with kids!

By far the best resort in Thekkady. The hospitality, rooms, food and the staff was really nice. I visited with my family and they made sure we enjoy our stay without any trouble.
The breakfast and dinner buffet had a lot of options. Thumbs up for the chef. Reminding the chef, the chef will come out of the kitchen to greet you and ask you whether you were comfortable with the food and the restaurant staff. It was really a nice gesture.
Greenwoods has a lot of activities to do like wearing Kerela traditional clothes, traditional performances and cooking a demo of their cuisine. Whenever you ask for demo, request for pollichattu karimeen fish demo. It's mouthwatering.
Overall we enjoyed our time in Greenwoods.

Had a great stay with family at the Greenwoods resort. Great location, close to the market and town. Our favorite hotel during our trip to Kerala.
The rooms, staff, hospitality, grounds, food, all were great. Enjoyed the culinary show every evening and learned how to cook local dishes, we had small children in our party, they made them chef hats which was a fun experience for the kids. Kids and family had a blast at the swimming pool when it was too hot to go outside for sight seeing. The gift shop also has good choices.
Dance performances were also exceptional.
Would love to go back and get room with the private pool.
Would be great if they add a spa, went to Elephant court to get a massage.

My parents had reserved deluxe room from 22nd - 24th May 2025. Initially they had issues with room allotment as they were senior citizen, & had recent surgery , hence had trouble climbing stairs to 1st floor especially becoz the stairs didn’t have any handrail to support .
However , the hotel staffs were extremely helpful, understanding and cooperative, especially we were particularly impressed by AAMAR’s (hotel staff) exceptional service, proactive assistance and personalised attention!
He checked on them frequently, ensured their wellbeing till their check out from the resort!!
Amar’s friendly and welcoming demeanor, combined with his proactive assistance, made us feel truly valued
This resort had serene atmosphere, excellent rooms, luxurious amenities, delicious food !!

Unforgettable Awesome Trip !!! We stayed there from Oct 14-16 2017. Very warm welcome got room before check in time. Its a huge property with its own plantations cultivated with different spices and unknown tree(New to know).Cattle for Cow and birds is so nice never seen in any resort.Entire property is well utilized and we'll maintained. Good use of recycle of water used for plantation. The tree house coffee shop is the best place. List of activities to get involved in Jeep Rides (Falls,Thekkady View Point,Tower, Herbal Plantation) and Elephant Ride, Trek to Vanya Tree House, yoga, cook, Kerala Dress Demonstration,Thekkady Documentary ).The food was fantastic and the staffs were so caring. Appreciating Staffs help and activeness in work.

Hello guys, so we are here at Green Oats Resort, Thekkady. So we just received by Mr. Amar in the reception. He's very humble and very good. His hospitality is everything. His service and all is very, very good. We are very, very satisfied. We came here for our honeymoon. All the decoration given by the room service people and resort people, everything is very, very good. It was overwhelming and their visit, everything was so good. And then coming to the candlelight dinner, it was a surprise for us actually. Mr. Satish was the person who served all our foods, everything and he's also very humble. So the overall experience for us is beyond our words. I can't give five stars. It's more than a five star I can give. So they were being very friendly with us. All the hospitality here is so good. We are very much satisfied and thank you.

We had a truly memorable experience at Greenwoods Resort. Right from the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at home. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing getaway—but what really stood out was the warmth and hospitality of the people.
A special mention goes to Suraj, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. He was incredibly kind and attentive, and the way he engaged with our two-year-old son was heartwarming. Suraj not only helped us with all the resort activities and guided us patiently, but he also spent time playing with our little one—giving us the chance to truly unwind and enjoy the experience.
It’s rare to find such genuine care and personal attention. Greenwoods is a place where you’re treated like family. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back!

Excellent hotel with excellent location, extremely clean & comfortable. It was the most perfect day from the entire trip to Kerala. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant Chef deserves a special thanks. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff, she makes our trip more interesting with her advice & tips about the city ,supermarket ,shops are within walking distance. There are different cultural programs organised by them like Yoga, the Nature walk, Sari/Dhoti Demonstration, Ethnic Cuisine Demonstration and many more. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again for going just that little step extra for the guests!!!
